The magnificent Palace-Dworski team was the former estate of Ludwik Karol von Ballestrem, the owner of a nearby distillery, which was founded in 1903. The neo-Baroque palace was built in 1903-1909 in the center of the vast park. It is worth emphasizing that Ballestrem was the owner of a magnificent land property of 3300 ha. The palace itself surrounded by a park – in the English style from the north, and French from the south was adjacent to the distillery, stable and administrative buildings.

After World War II, when the Ballestrets lost the palace from 1945 to 1952, it housed a colony center, and from 1962 the Agricultural Personnel Training Center. In 1963, a decision was made to create at the Palace of the Provincial Rehabilitation Center, and currently the Rehabilitation Department of the Provincial Hospital of Traumatic Surgery in Piekary Śląskie.
